Comics Final Order Cutoff – 22nd October 2022

This is your weekly reminder that Final Order Cutoff (FOC) orders are due by 10am on Saturday! Send an email over to shop@proudlion.co.uk to add any of these titles to your orders or pull list. This week’s FOC includes the collision of Dark Knight and Hellspawn, return to Fairyland, alien adventures, unmissable Star Wars titles, the beginning of Jason Aaron’s Avengers finale, return of the Mad Titan, reimagined Irish folklore, and more!

Some publishers are no longer offering later printings and some titles are selling out on release. Orders placed after FOC rely on extra stock being available, so get your order in today so you don’t miss out!

BATMAN SPAWN #1 (ONE SHOT) – Todd McFarlane and Greg Capullo reunite as the Dark Knight and the Hellspawn collide once more! I HATE FAIRYLAND #1 (2022-) – Speaking of returns, Skottie Young is taking Gert back to Fairyland. She’s all grown up now, but her hatred for this place hasn’t mellowed with age, or time spent back in the real world. Described as Deadpool meets Alice in Wonderland, the original Fairyland is also available in graphic novel collections!

VOYAGIS #1 (OF 5) – What if one of the Voyager space probes was found by aliens? This isn’t Star Trek the Motion Picture. And that ain’t V’ger. These people suffer under the thumb of a relentless tyrant, on a planet laid to waste by a wandering black hole. PETER MILES SPIDER-MAN DOUBLE TROUBLE #1 (OF 4) – Look, I’ll level with you – this one has us very confused. Very confused. This book looks like a slam-dunk team-up between Peter Parker and Miles Morales akin to the beloved Into The Spider-verse film, but Marvel have rated it T or T+ (depending on which source you check). I mean, look at that adorable cover for issue #1? Doesn’t it look like an all-ages comic? Very confused! Definitely one to consider for all Spidey fans, especially ones that can’t wait for next year’s Across The Spider-Verse, but reader discretion is advised I guess?

1x STARGIRL THE LOST CHILDREN #1 (OF 6) – Stargirl co-creator Geoff Johns teams up with iconic Young Justice illustrator Todd Nauck, as the Star-Spangled Kid teams up with Red Arrow! Together the two heroes discover a tragic teenage hero from the past has gone missing, and soon find that he’s not the first teenage hero of the Golden Age to have vanished without a trace…

MAEVE RISING WARRIOR #1 – Irish folklore reimagined in the vein of epic swords and sorcery, Maeve is the Irish warrior Queen of Connacht, skilled in the arts of Celtic Druid magic and sorcery.
