Comics Final Order Cutoff – 9th September 2023

This week’s FOC includes the first new Transformers comic of Skybound’s Energon Universe; a new science fiction adventure from Jock; an adorable brown bear who’s really a killer in the vein of Dexter; a queer horror OGN; Face/Off meets The Exorcist; a new look and a new status quo for Captain Marvel; the Power Rangers Academy; cosmic horror in and under Gotham City; a few other creepy stories; and the return of Superior Spider-Man and Capwolf!

BATMAN CITY OF MADNESS #1 (OF 3) – A cosmic-horror epic, featuring the Court Of Owls from visionary creator Christian Ward in a tribute to disturbing Dark Knight classics like Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Gothic! Deep beneath Gotham City there exists another Gotham. TALES FROM THE GRAVE #1 – A new horror anthology written and drawn by Marco Fontanili, creator of “Pentagram of Horror“, indebted to classic EC Comics and movies such as “Creepshow” and “Body Bags!” Graveyards populated by rotting undead. Castles haunted by ghosts. Swamps that hide unspeakable monsters. The thirteen stories that make up this miniseries are wordless and imbued with a dark sense of humour that is sure to bring a smile to your face.
