Sunday is Proud Lion’s Pokemon day every week! By joining in with our Pokemon events, you can not only play games in store with the local community, but also get hold of booster packs and official promo cards. You may also have the chance to win some bonus prizes!
Learn To Play
The first Sunday of every month is our Learn To Play Day! This is a free event running from 12pm where kids and adults alike can play their first demo game in store. We’ll have everything you need to play, so you can focus on learning the game. Every participant gets a Pokemon Fun Pack for learning to play – a mini booster with three Pokemon cards included!
(Please ensure children are supervised, and remember we are continuing to ask for face masks to be worn in store.)
If after your first game you want to keep playing, you’ll probably want to join our Pokemon casual league – see below for details!
Pokemon Casual League
Every Sunday from 12pm until 3pm, you can join our weekly Pokemon Casual League! This is a relaxed event which focuses on casual play and card trading (please see below for more details about trading). For just £5 a week, you get up to three hours of gaming, one Pokemon booster pack, and one official promo card. You also get one entry into our monthly prize draw for each week you take part!
Don’t forget to bring your deck, build a deck, or pick one up in store!
(Please be aware that due to space constraints, we do not have any seating available for spectators.)
Monthly Prize Draw
On the last Sunday of the month, we’ll do a random draw from all the players who participated in that month’s Casual League. That randomly selected player will win a bonus prize! It could be a Pokemon binder, deck box and sleeves, booster packs, promo cards, or even a Pokemon box set. The prize will change every month, so keep coming back for more chances to win!
(Winners of the prize draw will be contacted by email and will need to collect their prize by the end of the following month, or the winner will be re-drawn.)
Card Trading
Players are welcome to trade their cards in store! We do have a few rules for this though:
- Only cards can be traded. No card buying, selling, or trading for other items is allowed.
- Players under 13 must have each and every trade approved by a parent or guardian.
- All trades must be genuine and fair. Any player found to be trading fake cards or taking advantage of other players will not be allowed to trade in store.
Pokemon Single Cards
We’re bringing back our Pokemon card singles box! This box of common, uncommon, and rare bulk cards will only be available to browse during our Casual League sessions.
(We do not buy in Pokemon cards, please don’t ask!)
